15th Annual Baldwin Golf Classic: August 25, 2008
June 9, 2008
Dear Golfers,
This letter is to offer an apology because we had to cancel our Fifteenth Annual Baldwin Golf Classic on Monday, June 9, 2008 at Paint Creek Country Club due to the area power outage. We are pleased to announce that we have a make-up date of August 25, 2008. We will still have registration at 10:30 am with a scramble format and shotgun start at noon. Please touch base with your fellow golfers to make sure they have cleared the date and will be part of your foursome once again.
The Buick Open was quite generous to the Center this year and we have two packages of four day passes each with a parking pass to the Open any day of the tournament during the week of June 23 through June 29, 2008 to auction. Please call me at 248.332.6101 or email me at bspote@baldwincenter.org with your bid on one of these packages. The opening bid will be $100 and we will post the top two bidders and their bid amounts on our web site daily. The top two bidders at 4 pm on June 18 will get the Buick Open packages.
Our plans for the evening remain the same. This year our Live auction, which includes gold and diamond earrings from Astrein’s Jewelers, a condo in Hilton Head, SC, two annual car wash passes from Forster Brothers and more, will be held before dinner at 6 pm. Our Silent auction will be ongoing throughout the day, with final bids accepted in the middle of the evening. We will have fifty-fifty tickets and Gift Card Tree raffle tickets for sale throughout the day as well.
Again thank you for your patience and understanding. We were all very disappointed that we could not enjoy this marvelous day on the links at Paint Creek. We will look for you to join us on our new date, August 25, 2008. If you know anyone else who would like to golf that day please contact me so I may get their information. If you have any questions or donation or foursome information, please call me at 248.332.6101 or email me at bspote@baldwincenter.org.
Your presence and ongoing support means so much to the Center and to the people who benefit from our services.
Sincerely,
Barbara Shea Pote
